Shop at 4-HMall.org Help 4-H in North Carolina

North Carolina 4-H has been accepted into the Fair Share program with National 4-H Council. When anyone in the state of North Carolina purchases any items from the www.4-Hmall.org website, 10% of the purchased items value will come back to our state program. Fax, email and mail orders DO NOT count towards the Fair Share Program so please shop online. The 4-H Mall website has an option for counties and state staff to make a Purchase Order that and they will send an official invoice after the items ordered have arrived. This allows county and state programs to pay with checks instead of credit cards.

The four steps to get started are:

  1. Go to www.4-HMALL.org
  2. Click on the “Sign-in” Button on the left hand side of the website.
  3. “Create a New Web Account” if you do not have an online account with 4-H Mall.
  4. Then purchase items for your program online.

When you check out after shopping you will be given two payment options: PO (Purchase Order) or Credit Card. Only county and state 4-H programs can use the PO option. You will enter your billing information and can print the order to request your check for payment or wait until you receive an official invoice from National 4-H Council after your order arrives. I was able to create an account and make a purchase in five minutes. It really is that easy.

The Fair Share Program was not designed for the shopper to directly receive the 10% off their orders, so North Carolina 4-H will use the proceeds from the Fair Share Program to support county, district and state programs in the area of 4-H curriculum. The money will be used to reduce the cost of educational kits, piloting of new curriculum, training expenses, incentives for programs piloting curriculum & kits, and similar items as appropriate. We have set up a new account so each year we can report on how much was raised through the Fair Share Program and how those funds were used to benefit 4-H statewide. The 4-H curriculum committee will help prioritize how these dollars are spent annually.

Please encourage all club leaders and youth members who receive the 4-H Source Book to shop online, as their purchases will be credited towards our fair share program. Even though they need to pay with credit card for their online orders, this is a painless way to give to the 4-H Program. We also ask that you add articles and links to your county newsletters and websites about the fair share program. Below are two buttons that you can download to link your county website to the 4-H Mall page. If you have any questions about the program, please contact Jackie at Jackie_Helton@ncsu.edu or 919-515-8475. Thank you for taking advantage of this opportunity and sharing with your volunteers and members.
