Bartlett's Familiar Quotations- Comprehensive and searchable by author or keyword
WWWebster Thesaurus-An online version of the popular Thesaurus
Information Please Almanac- includes current events as well as a database of 30,000 biographies

Crossroads Hypertext Archive- A hypertext archive of nineteenth century history, including firsthand accounts, literature and biographies. Also includes actual audio recordings of former slaves retelling their experiences.
The Remembrance Project- An archive covering primarily nineteenth century. Searchable and includes actual accounts, letters and photographs.
American Revolutionary War Timeline- Thorough, covers people, places, and events.
ArchNet- the University of Connecticut online Archaeology reference

French-English Dictionary
German-English Dictionary- An easy to use Dictionary that will find terms in either language.
Langenscheidt's N.C German Dictionary- conversions in Spanish, English and German
Comparative Cyber Lexicon- translates English phrases and technical terms into Spanish
The ASL Student Browser- A relatively large glossary of ASL signs that allow you to actually see a person demonstrate them. For a more comprehensive but non- interactive dictionary, try the ASL Online Dictionary
