The NC 4-H Development Fund is made up of people with a passion to help North Carolina youth develop leadership and achieve their goals. Corporate, business, and community leaders, government officials, educators, 4-H and Extension professionals and volunteers, and 4-H’ers themselves, serve on the 35-member Development Fund board.
The board, with diverse statewide representation, governs the NC 4-H Development Fund and is charged with managing the funds assets of $3.6 million and securing the private resources needed to support the 4-H program. Restricted and endowed gifts have now reached $1.5 million annually.
In addition, the Fund is responsible for supporting an annual program budget of $250,000 and for building program, scholarship, and camp-related endowments for 4-H youth development initiatives. The Board is supported by a dedicated staff of development professionals.
