2012 State 4-H Shooting Sports Tournament
The fall 4-H Shooting Sports workshop will be October 19-20-21 at Millstone 4-H Camp.
The workshop is designed to equip adult volunteers to work with youth in 4-H Shooting Sports Clubs. Participants will have the opportunity to share ideas and information while enhancing their skills in teaching youth through the use of the National 4-H Shooting Sports curriculum.
We will limit each discipline (archery, shotgun, pistol, rifle, hunting, muzzle loading) to 15 participants. All participants should be registered with their local Extension office as a 4-H volunteer prior to attending the workshop.
This is a hands on workshop, participants will be required to pass a written test in their discipline and required to teach portions of their curriculum as part of a practicum test. Participants should be familiar with their shooting discipline as we will not be teaching participants to shoot but rather how to use shooting sports as a youth development tool.
We will select participants using a registration screening process. Completed applications must be at the Millstone office by Friday October 5, 2012.
